IDEA: mix CD ripper

(1/1)

alien:
There's a problem with ripping CDs with DJ mixes, broken in separate tracks. Common CD rippers (i know of) don't have option to rip all tracks to single file.  Of course, mix could be grabbed with stuff like Total Recorder, but it will be great to have one tool to play and rip CD mixes.

mouser:
im guessing there are (freeware) programs to do this, though i'm not 100% sure what you are asking.

someone here hopefully knows of one, ill leave the thread open until it's replied to.

epheterson:
I think he wants to be able to rip an entire CD to one mp3 file combining all the tracks instead of five mp3s for five tracks.

mouser:
if nothing else there are some good mp3 joiners..

i'm gonna mark this request with a down arrow now to indicate that its not something that could be coded as a snack, but if anyone can point out some good free ripping tools that can do this, please do.

frogblast:
I understand EAC (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/) can rip a CD to a single WAV file that you can then encode with the program of your choice (including EAC), but I've never tried it myself. EAC is universally recognized as the best ripper in the world, and it's free, of course.
