I think I'm missing the basics
« on: September 10, 2009, 05:17 PM »
Hi.
Love the basic program, but every time I find a new plugin, I seem to be missing a basic step once I install it.
How do I trigger them!
It took me forever to find out that "gt" will activate the google tasks plugin, and now I can't find any documentation on how to get the timer plugin to activate.

Is there a way to find these codes out from within FARR?

Thanks

type aplugins - you get a list with key letters

If you press enter, Options opens on the plugins page, you can get more info there

you can also type 'helpfarr' to invoke the help file and other useful stuff.

the solution is to yell at both plugin authors until one of them changes theirs.

Am I missing something? Couldn't you change plugin alias by defining an override in the plugin settings? Simply go to Options - Settings - Plugins and Updates - Click to examine and configure plugins. Then find the plugin you want to change the alias that launches it and type in another alias or regex in their respective override fields.

For example, in the attached image you can see that I have overriden FarrUninstall's default alias unstall with a shorter one - un
