Sounds good, but seems to need more work before it could deliver everything the copy promises...  :(

It's free, though. I just wonder why everybody adds all kinds of access control to their security solutions, instead of providing "just" a flexible rock-solid firewall...

I'm sure this is meant to be used alongside a firewall instead of as a substitute for one. Layered security is the trend right now with the idea being if The Bad Guys make it through one of your layers of defenses they probably won't be able to make it through all of your layers. Also, different programs have different strengths so ideally you would choose programs that built built off the strengths of one another while alleviating the weaknesses that Program A has by using Program B alongside it.

The trend I'm seeing is all-in-one security programs. Some are starting out as such, but existing niche vendors such as AV are also rapidly morphing their products in that direction. Since these next-generation programs hook into the kernel or ring-zero level, they tend to conflict with each other. It would appear that we are moving toward a scenario in which we have to choose a single product. Should be an interesting year for the security software industry.
