Chrome Experiments

We think JavaScript is awesome. We also think browsers are awesome. Indeed, when we talk about them, we say they are the cat's meow – which is an American expression meaning AWESOME.

In light of these deeply held beliefs, we created this site to showcase cool experiments for both JavaScript and web browsers.

These experiments were created by designers and programmers from around the world using the latest open standards, including HTML5, Canvas, SVG, and more. Their work is making the web faster, more fun, and more open – the same spirit in which we built Google Chrome.

One of the featured experiments is something called Twitch. What's cool about it is that it's a series of tiny switch games that take anywhere from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes to finish, and they open up in a series of different windows that all are connected. Note that these experiments are generally only tested/designed to work with Google Chrome and may not work in other browsers.

Interesting. I do think that the Google Chrome OS (browser as platform) will make a difference with how we view both software and hardware. Not for everyone or every situation, but will do for many, especially anyone doing their computing not on a traditional desktop.

You wrote that article as if you were already running Chrome OS. But Wikipedia says it won't be released for about another year. So how are you running it already?
