IrfanView can be set to advance slides automatically - if that's what you mean by "movies" - and/or advance on keyboard/mouse movement.  The slideshow screen also has "Save as EXE/SCR file" and "Burn to CD" options, plus a load of minor(?) features.

Forgot to add, there's a new version of IrfanView just out, 3.98, I haven't downloaded yet.
