Silent updater for firefox
« on: August 11, 2009, 04:49 AM »
I don't like getting interrupted when I launch firefox to discover there's an incremental addon update or new browser update. To me the worst time to ask this is when i just started a task. So I've been looking for a silent updater for firefox (ala chrome) as I always accept all updates anyway. I can't find any do you know of such a tweak/addon?  Is this possible to make as an addon and if so would anyone be interested?

There used to be a setting under edit>preferences>advanced>update, but I don't see it anymore in my FF3.5.1

maybe this add-on would be helpful to you..

Notifies you when updates are available for your extensions and themes. Allows quick access to your extensions and themes and the ability to check both types for any updates. Easily configurable for automatically installing updates when available and checking for updates when Firefox starts.
