DAY 1:

Ok here's the first screencast of the series.  I'm going to make these really short, aiming for two or three minutes each.

The first one is a quick overview of Screenshot Captor:

I wand to encourage fellow DC people to make and post screencasts of their DC-shared software during August 2009 along with me.

I used the commercial tool Camtasia, but there are some good free tools as well, including BB Flashback Expresss, Wink, and Camstudio.

You can host the video on youtube or any video sharing site, or even on the dcmember server, just ask.

you're right - the sound is a bit messed up, though i'm not sure what i did differently -- bad mic position maybe.  i'll try to watch for that in future.
