Probably REALLY handy if you need graph paper though! They charge a bundle for some of that fancy stuff don't they?

there's a program called "graph paper printer" which prints a million and one types of graph paper for those amongst us needing it.
Used to be freeware, now is shareware. Its very useful.

Unfortunately, I've never been able to print the incompetech generated PDFs properly - dunno if it's errors in parameters when I generate it, or printing errors

You can still find Graph Paper Printer version 4 (the last freeware version) still hanging out some places, though that website prints just about everything v4 did. Version 5 can print scads more types of graph and pattern papers (Targets!! Woohoo!!) and is much more configurable, so is worth the shareware price (even if the interface is VERY win95-ish).

Actually the thing I use Graph Paper most for is printing music paper. Yes the user interface is a bit old fashioned these days but it is such a simple app that it really doesn't matter.
