i've actually thought about doing this..
it would be easy to make a very minimal little tray tool that watched a certain page for changes..
the only question is whether there is really a need for such a program given the other web page change monitoring tools.. i wonder if the free ones listed in our wsw review do this already..

A service like ChangeDetection.com is better than this app.

1) You are notified vai email.
2) You don't need to keep a program running (even if in the background)
3) Someone else is worrying about it.

but changedetection checks the entire webpage .. without any rules etc  .. but i think i will find some good freeware tools here: http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/misctools/fwmoni.html .. thanks anyways ..
