[suggestion] auto hide
« on: June 17, 2009, 09:03 AM »
It would be nice to have auto hide feature.

It should auto hide dock after some time or if I click outside the dock.

I am unsure off the top of my head, but here is what I know.

if you have set up your CD to run on boot, then unfortunately it will appear at boot.

There are some settings that can be adjusted so that the dock will disappear when not hovered by, and I know there is a setting that will allow th edock to vanish upon clicking the mouse away.

Let me look  into this when I get a proper opportunity, as it is now, I am doing a dead install of Vista, 7, and Ubunutu to a new drive, and taking my time and doing it right, so unfortunately, I am in the OS stage still and have yet to re-install CircleDock.

Let me know if you are having issues getting the settings to work right, and I will expedite in your assistance  :D

I just cannot find it. Can you be more specific?

General>change z-level to normal
Dock Items>Hide Dock allows you to autohide after selecting

Not exactly what I had in mind.

I was talking about hiding the dock if I click 'outside', like windows start menu

Apologies Panel for the lateness of this response.

I find that your are absolutely correct. Dock placement and appearance are controlled by the following:
I never gave it a second thought as I have my controls set to Window+Spacebar, and the Middle Mouse button.
I guess it became second nature, and I missed a lack of the click away option.

I will forward as a settings request in next months e-mail to VIP For a A timed disappearance (time set by user) and a click off option  :D

First I want to welcome you to the DonationCoder.co Forums, and Circle DOck's corner of it  :D

It has been well over six months since the last communication from the original developer VideoInPicture (Eric Wong).

I had been losing hope, so I thank you for rekindling that hope again.

As CircleDock is open source, any one can pick up where Eric Left off, and modify as they see fit, as You have done.

As I am no programmer by any means, I thank you for tackling this task, in order to help move CircleDock forward.

I thank you  :-*
