Flash Game of the Week: StarCom

Reviewed today on JayIsGames.com, StarCom is a top down space game with a storyline and missions.

It's very well done and is very similar to one of my all time favorite games, EV Nova.

I've been trying to encourage people on DC to make a top down 2d space game like this for a while.. because i think the mechanics and engine is within the capabilities of a small team, and because i think it has such great potential for incorporating compelling adventure/exploration/storylines.

Played long enough to finish the first mission (which took about 2 minutes). Looks fun. I'll have to give it a real test drive later.

I've completed it. It's aight, I really wanted to keep exploring after completing it tho :(

I still haven't completed it yet, but I've spent a bit more time with it and it's pretty decent so far.
