Kana Reminder alternative??

(1/2) > >>

Hi

I've been a (satisfied) user of Kana Reminder for over a year, but - as always - I'd like some further features...

What I like about KR is that it is extremely fast to enter/modify reminders: Press your hotkey, enter some text, tab, set date, tab, set time, Esc - and you're done: Brilliant.

But what I'm missing with KR is:

- Some more space for text (KR's windows can't be resized)
- Possibility to keep 'finished' reminders
- Bigger main-window in order to get a better overview of reminders/tasks.

Would be nice, but is not critical:
- Possibility to group reminders
- Possibility to prioritize reminders.

As you might have guessed, I'd like to use the program as a sort of to do - list as well as keeping KR's ability to quickly create reminders.

Does such a program exist?

Best regards
Kenneth

Would you be better off with one of the sticky notes programs?  See, e.g., DC's new thread Sticky Notes - Freeware Roundup.  A very popular free one is Zhorn Software's Stickies.

Otherwise, you might like Kirby Software's Kirby Alarm Pro, which some people are very keen on.  I don't think there's a free version now - if there ever was, you'd probably find it via one of the "old version" sites.

If you need a reminder utility and you like the dark side of command line interfaces, the best one is definitely Remind, it can do everything as far as triggering is required, but there's a steep learning curve.

Thank you for the suggestions - I'll check them right away.

I went from KR to UKs Kalender and never looked back.
