Felt it in my bones.

Just read this over at the http://www.thehotfix.net/

work has begun on 1.5.0.1, which is due for a late January 2006 release. This release would consist of security fixes, including the one found recently (Secunia), bug fixes, top crashers, and the like. It's also expected that there will be a Firefox 1.0.8, Mozilla 1.7.13, and possibly a Thunderbird 1.0.8 release at this time.

Innuendo:
tinyvillager,
Don't know what you were on to exactly, though...nearly all software has bugs & there will always be bugfixes until a program is abandoned.

tinyvillager:
My intentions (speculations) was not to spread fud,i agree there is no such thing as bugless software. But i visit
a lot of forums and every where i go  enthusiasm for 1.5 has dropped off.In short, any step away from IE is a
step in the right direction.Though who knows,Microsoft might shock us with their next release and if they do
i cuddle with with Microsoft,i'll go where the quality is.It's actually a shame there is only a handfull of browsers
to check out.But yeah, don't get the ideal i'm spreading fud about firefox.

db90h:
Yes, Microsoft isn't sitting idly by and letting this happen. You can bet they are going to look closely at what has made Firefox popular (other than it being open-source), and emulate those things in IE 7. In fact, IE 7 beta already has tabbed browsing and a download manager (I think).

Opera is good, if it would just render pages like IE and Mozilla do. They (OperaSoftware) are so concerned about W3C standards that they miss the bigger picture -- IE compatible rendering is the real standard. Opera is definitely fast and has better font and image rendering (somehow). Its lack of a good plug-in/extension architecture is a big disadvantage though. I've come to love the extension support of Firefox.

If it is the same as the tab browsing kludge they added via their MSN toolbar it won't worth the wait !
