If anyone is wondering whether Plants Vs Zombies is any good the answer is yes.

If anyone has any work to do over the next week however, then this game isn't for you.

Tower defence PopCap style  ;D

I got the game.  It's very enjoyable until you get to the point where it is too hard, then it simply becomes very frustrating.  ;)

I played the demo. It was surprisingly fun. I'm considering purchasing the game now.

Grrr.. I am not usually a fan of Tower Defense style games, but this is super addictive!

Have completed the main adventure, and am pleased to discover that there are numerous mini-games and puzzles that get unlocked along the way. So I'm still able to avoid work with this charming little title.

Ahh, Plants vs. Zombies. Great game, that. Brilliantly made, and crammed full of humor and personality. Even zombies, who are usually seen as horrifying undead monsters who will eat peoples brains, manage to look comical without being ridiculous, while still being brain-eaters. Also, their expressions are downright priceless when they take a bite of garlic. :D
The varying mini-games on every 5th level are also quite fun, and break up what could have been a monotonous flow.

this game is awesome! if you have played this one, then you'll know that 'Pogo Party' was insanely difficult unless you found a way to stop you-know-who. ;)

the end credits theme song has been released in mp3 format by the composer, Laura. now there are two versions, one in English and another in Japanese. quite catchy tune, the Japanese one.. 8)

By the way, I ended up buying the game from Steam some time ago. Very fun! I still haven't completed it yet, though.

I think I've spent more time on Defense Grid: The Awakening, but Plants vs. Zombies is probably 2nd with regard to time spent playing a TD game.

Interestingly enough, those two games are also the only two TD games I have purchased.

Don't resist! Download the demo on Steam and try it! I wrote a review of defense grid earlier this year.

in case you still haven't played this game yet, PopCap have released a free browser version of the game. i tried a bit and noticed that the browser version saves your level progress.

however there will be adverts in between levels with messages like this, "Advertisement: Your game will play in x seconds" and the delay increases as you go on.

tip: if you have SwiffOut by ecaradec, you can have your desktop version.. ;)

Just a note about the Browser edition. The gameplay seems different than the full version. I can't quite put my finger on it exactly, but the speed of various things seems different.

I like games where you get interest, and where your results from the previous level carry forward in a non-punitive way. So the game was ok, but not great. Pretty much if you're super-bored, then it's a good way to waste time. But I find Magic the Gathering Online is a better waste of time. :)
