logitech mouse drivers are pure evil

I cannot run my IBM ultranav keyboard together with my MX revolution mouse because of drivers conflict.
I posted in logitech forums to no avail.

I didn't know who to blame. This however, makes me think logitech is the culprit:

How can your drivers affect an IDE?

If you have removed all logitech software and drivers.
And you have a microsoft mouse.
Plug it in and load ipoint.
It won't load intellipoint without detecting a ms mouse of some kind.
Then you can change the type and configuration of the mouse.

Then go to control panel-mouse.
Choose the best match for your logitech mouse.
Then configure the buttons and wheels as you like.

It worked for me, having a logitech mouse on one computer but wanted the ipoint features. I plugged in a ms mouse, loaded ipoint then switched back, unplugged ms and plugged in the logitech mouse. So I have a logitech mouse using ms mouse drivers and software.

Agreed, I had a similar situation. ipoint works, but you must have a complete uninstall of Logitech.

I would recommend removal utilizing Revo unistaller (be sure to create a restore point), and carefully go through the registries, before you make the final click of registry removal.

I have a mixed MS Keyboard and the VX Revolution, and I had to shiff around a bit, but I finally got all my buttons programmed with iPoint.

Logitech web cam drivers crashed my desktop computer when it was only three days old - what a mess! Returned it and bought a Creative instead. Creative doesn't have the best driver record by far, but they're not nearly as evil as Logitech's.
