Eight FARR Plugins Are Failing on DCUpdater

<< < (2/2)

Deozaan:
On second thought, can I just remove the plugins that aren't updated anymore? I don't think I want to hunt for the updates.

Thanks!

They're still updated, but only as one package, instead of individual plugins. Remove them and/or their .dcupdate files and install the CZB Package and you'll have it all working again properly.

Thanks for pointing out.

I have to tell mouser to update the dc update list. It would also be nice if there was an option in DCupdater to warn user that the plugin has been discontinued and where to find the latest one.

PS: My pages are still incorrect too but I will modify them soon

J-Mac:
czb,

I wasn't whining about how it is done; that's not why I said I'm removing them. I don't use a lot of FARR's plugins - only a few, actually. I mostly just launch programs with FARR. I've never taken the time to figure out how to use FARR for other types of searching. It's just easier for me to get them out of FARR because chasing down updates isn't really worth the effort for me.

Thanks!

Jim

very good point, added to todo list.

sosimple:
It seems like the suggestion is to remove the FARR plugins
that are shown in the list above, and install the CZB Package
in their place. I assume it should be done in that order.

What is the best way to remove the plugins? I assume I
should stop FARR, then should I just delete the plugins from
the "Program Files/..." folder ? Or, is there an un-install to
perform ?

I guess it would not be reasonable to expect that installing
the CZB Package would automatically do the necessary
un-install actions.
