I think I see a problem - AJ which is UK has no website and I click it, it goes to live search?
How'd you do that? Now NZ shows same time as here! Really?? I always knew they were behind the times, but I wouldn't have thought that was verified by UTC??

This is nicely done, Perry!
Is there any way to see more width of the list of possible time zones, maybe some sort of tool-tip? There are multiple options for places, some of which encompass different times, and it's hard to see which is the one item to choose for 'favourites'.
Thanks again.

Is there any way to see more width of the list of possible time zones, maybe some sort of tool-tip? You mean in the Settings window and the DropDown for the Favourite timezone selection? Sure: I can make the whole thing wider (ultimately easier than tooltips I think) There are multiple options for places, some of which encompass different times, and it's hard to see which is the one item to choose for 'favourites'.
Each row in the Favourites section is the definition for the Favourite (1-5): Tavourite Zone, Replace Timezone Label?, Favourite Label, Favourite Date Format; all of which can be different for each of the possible Favourites.

Yes, thanks, I got that far, I was trying to refer to using the DropDown for the Favourite timezone selection. I can't see very well which item in the dropdown is the best choice for each (any) slot. For example, U.S.A. has many possible entries, but cities don't show in the dropdown (depending on the length of the preceding information).

OK, I've got it now, thanks: I'll adjust the width of the dropdown.
In the meantime you can change the list type to "City Name" which removes the Country [& Region]

Hi Perry, I have a minor oddity when using TimeZone. It relates to the item "TimeZone Options", displayed by typing "tz" in FARR. This is no big thing but, while custom labels for favourites 2 through 5 do stick, slot one likes to revert to the label "Grandad in Palmerston North ::". Slot one still picks up the correct time for the chosen location. So: 1 tz 2 TimeZone Options 3 set label for slot 1 4 hit 'Set' button 5 exit TimeZone 6 repeat 1 7 repeat 2Hello Grandad! Each custom label has its check mark in place. The correct label (my own choice) for slot 1 is in the .ini file. Are those trailing colons a clue?

Hello Grandad! I'll pass on your regards: he's 91 next month Each custom label has its check mark in place. The correct label (my own choice) for slot 1 is in the .ini file. Are those trailing colons a clue?
No: it was my bad (comes from making the changes at work and then pasting them into the source here at home)... I forgot to replace the test data I was using at work. From the looks of it the label would display OK in FARR, just not in the settings window. Anyway: it should all be fixed now. Sorry about that

I'll pass on your regards: he's 91 next month And doing well on it, I hope! Thanks for taking the trouble to modify this. As a reward ( ) I'm attaching another slight quirk. The AM/PM reporting gets out of sync sometimes. I grabbed these two shots just far enough apart for the minute to roll over but it's the am/pm indicators to which I refer.

But once it gets to 1am it's OK?? There was one occasion when I noticed it was giving 2 AM instead of 2 PM. I'll try to mount a watch on what happens, and when. Actually... just checked. Right now, at 5:46 PM Weds in Ontario (EDT), TZ gives Brisbane as 7:46 PM Thurs, whereas it's really 7:46 AM.

That doesn't make a lot of sense at the moment. Can you zip up one of your data files, your timezone.ini and the utcOffset.xml file and PM or email me?? Thanks
