Redundancy I guess. Cathy has a reduced set of features, but is very fast & compact, WinCatalog 2013, well, it's the opposite. I get the best of both worlds and it's really not time consuming to use Cathy as well.

I have a license for WinCatalog 2011, but never really used it. I wanted a cataloguer that would automatically import FILE_ID.DIZ and FILES.BBS data as descriptions in its catalogue, and it didn't do that.

This programme seems to be continually updated :up:
Paid upgrade seems to be only every few years (if you own 2011 version it is still a free upgrade to 2015 version).
