Some front hallways (mine) aren't all that less creepy, when lit.

Not too sure how she would feel about you adding that beast to her photo, but it gave me a good laugh and made me think of a hell-cat I used to have, that you might think looked like that from the stories by people he attacked.

Why does she have an empty profile here?

why not? There's loads of 'profiles' here that aren't active, in the sense that the people are not active in the forum.
(Also, IIRC one has to register here to get a longer term license key.)

One also has to register if they plan on giving credits to a developer, in appreciation for their work.  ;)

I predict that the next cause for movie zombies will be malware. I think that a lot of people then will get a new antivirus system because of their fear of developing a hunger for brains. Irrational, but then who thinks that many explanations of zombie biology are credible. I would "till" movie zombies by using a large riding rototiller because zombies are usually already falling apart. Of course, it would have a locked enclosed cab so they couldn't get you wile you were mowing them down.

Perhaps this video can clear up some confusion on the purpose of the PETMAN robot. It is NOT, as that page you linked to suggests, a battlefield robot. It's used for testing protective clothing.

The PETMAN robot was developed by Boston Dynamics with funding from the DoD CBD program. It is used to test the performance of protective clothing designed for hazardous environments. The video shows initial testing in a chemical protection suit and gas mask. PETMAN has sensors embedded in its skin that detect any chemicals leaking through the suit. The skin also maintains a micro-climate inside the clothing by sweating and regulating temperature. Partners in developing PETMAN were MRIGlobal, Measurement Technology Northwest, Smith Carter, SRD, CUH2A, and HHI.

Sometimes things with silly humor attached are cousins to "interesting stuff". But I'm putting it here for two funny DC-related topical spins.

Meet Daniel Browning Smith, contortionist.
https://www.youtube..../watch?v=Ck2ZmPl8F9c
(Sorry for those who can't get Youtube videos! I'm amnesiac so I keep forgetting but if someone knows a foolproof alt way to view these, dig me up!)
"If you allow him two inches for him to relax", the man fits himself into a box 18x18x18 inches.

Hilarity Ensuing:
1. Playing awesome jokes on various security agencies. The colleague would need to be near strongman level, but there's enough out there even that aren't actually competing, and "you only need one" for a stunt act.

2. Detective stories, especially the ones with the "gifted" star and the rest of the force is a little slow on the uptake. : )

3. On a good day, general saving on transport costs. Airports would be the toughest, but on trains and buses, you just wait until the conductor is all done, then he comes out.

This is a true story that happened just yesterday evening.
I was sitting at the kitchen table with a nice wooden bowl made in Japan, that had some warm beef stew in it, and a wheat muffin.
I was wearing a favorite hooded gray sweater that is nice and warm in this mid-winter weather, with rather voluminous sleeves so that I have to lift my arms higher than usual to reach across to grab the salt or Italian seasoning.
I had just taken a bite out of my muffin which I had dipped in the stew sauce, when a suger cube-sized piece of the muffin fell and appeared to drop down past the outside of the bowl.
I looked here and there and everywhere; in the bowl, beside the bowl, beneath the overhang of the bowl, behind the bowl, on the floor, and it was nowhere.
I was quite certain I had not imagined it.
I was quite mystified as it had absolutely, totally vanished.
I finished my meal, and retired to the other room.
Sitting at my computer keyboard, I lifted my right hand to the mouse, and felt something squishy, wet, cold, and soft touching my right arm inside my sleeve.

A husband went to the sheriff’s department to report
that his wife was missing.

Husband: My wife is missing. She went shopping yesterday and has not come home.

Sergeant: What is her height?

Husband: Gee, I’m not sure. A little over five-feet tall.

Sergeant: Weight?

Husband: Don’t know. Not slim, not really fat.

Sergeant: Color of eyes?

Husband: Never noticed.

Sergeant: Color of hair?

Husband: Changes a couple times a year. Maybe dark brown.

Sergeant: What was she wearing?

Husband: Could have been a skirt or shorts. I don’t remember exactly.

Sergeant: What kind of car did she go in?

Husband: She went in my truck.

Sergeant: What kind of truck was it?

Husband: Brand new 2015 Ford F150 King Ranch 4X4 with eco-boost 5.0L V8 engine special ordered with manual transmission. It has a custom matching white cover for the bed. Custom leather seats and “Bubba” floor mats. Trailering package with gold hitch. DVD with navigation, 21-channel CB radio, six cup holders, and four power outlets. Added special alloy wheels and off-road Michelins. Wife put a small scratch on the drivers door. At this point the husband started choking up.

Sergeant: Don’t worry buddy. We’ll find your truck.

Brilliant cartoonist Martin Honeysett has died at the age of 71. Here's a couple of his rather bitingly dark humour, from Punch:

Posted this in interesting stuff by accident:

How do you fit a thousand dead babies into one barrel?

A blender.

How do you get them back out?

Tortilla chips.

Spoiler
Blender + food dehydrator.
