To all of you who claim you don't give a fsck... This is actually what not giving a fsck looks like.   That or a train wreck.  Your pick.

What a surprise!  His outdoors dance appears to be in front of a sign welcoming motorists to Woonsocket, Rhode Island - a town about 25 miles from where I was born and raised.  Didn't know this guy, though.
We are at the very beginning of time for the human race. It is not unreasonable that we grapple with problems. But there are tens of thousands of years in the future. Our responsibility is to do what we can, learn what we can, improve the solutions, and pass them on.

I used to have an Uzi .40 cal S&W.  Beautiful gun, very accurate with stopping power.  Now I either pack my M1911A1 .45 Auto or my Ruger 38 Special.  When roaming around my land I carry my .45/410 loaded with 410 Magnum buckshot.  It's really almost impossible to miss anything with that.  lol

When I'm on the farm, I carry my Ruger Blackhawk Super and use .460 loads.

A mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known heart surgeon in his shop.
The surgeon was there, waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike.
The mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hey, Doc, can I ask you a question?"
The surgeon a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, fix 'em, put 'em back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I get such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?"
The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over, and whispered to the mechanic...
"Try doing it with the engine running."

An older gentleman was
on the operating table
awaiting surgery
and he insisted that his son,
a renowned surgeon,
perform the operation.
As he was about to get the anesthesia,
he asked to speak to his son.
"Yes, Dad, what is it?"
"Don't be nervous, son;
do your best,
and just remember,
if it doesn't go well,
if something happens to me,
your mother
is going to come and
live with you and your wife...."

Two guys, one old, one young,
are pushing their carts around Wal-Mart
when they collide.
The old guy says to the young guy,
"Sorry about that. I'm looking for my wife,
and I guess I wasn't paying attention
to where I was going."
The young guy says, "That's OK, it's a coincidence.
I'm looking for my wife, too...
I can't find her and I'm getting a little desperate."
The old guy says, "Well,
maybe I can help you find her...
what does she look like?"
The young guy says,
"Well, she is 27 yrs. old, tall,
with red hair,
blue eyes, is buxom...wearing no bra,
long legs,
and is wearing short shorts.
What does your wife look like?'
To which the old guy says, "Doesn't matter,
--- let's look for yours."

I love Ruger's,  my 38 Special is a Ruger, plus I have a few more. I think they make the best guns on the market.  When shopping for my 38 Spl, I compared a S&W to the Ruger and the difference was huge.  The Ruger was much better in every facet, plus it was cheaper.  The S&W 38 Spl looked like a toy gun compared to the Ruger, and you could tell that it was a stouter made weapon.  The S&W actually rattles when shook.  lol

In cases like these, sometimes a well placed PM works wonders rather than open season.  :)

it's not meant as open season wraith -
:) at this stage I'd have to send a half a dozen PM's as the gun talk has been going on for a while here (which is why I said "people") -
so I thought being direct was the best approach (and I honestly didnt mean it in any aggressive or offensive way).

Well this one is inspired by the Recipe thread but it belongs here:

"Recipe for Cooked Rat."

It was from a SciFi Dystopia story. (Recipe Paraphrased)

Ingredients:
1 Rat
tablespoon of salt

1. Cook rat twice, to ensure all parts are free of bacteria.
2. Add salt.

Serves three.

Tinman, I do apologise for the tone in my post - I definitely got that wrong.
Re the message: out of a silly humour post there were a *bunch* of people posting about their guns - which I for one thought didnt fit in this thread.
Hence my post.

Re my posts - as you point out, I have no problem with going off-topic. I'm trying to think have I ever been asked to stop going off-topic - I'm sure I have - but probably much more tactfully than I have done here ;-)

Everybody is guilty of going off topic at one time or another, especially me.  I think there's always going to be "drifting" (my word for it, nothing to do with cars), when you make a comment on the post, though not about the post, but relative to the post.  Just drifting a little is not a totally bad thing, makes things a little more interesting.  Of course when people start posting just about a different subject altogether, then that's where it's not drifting, but totally off topic.  Sometimes these drifts get drifted on a little more than usual and then really becomes off topic.  We all have to self-regulate to keep this from happening.

Just my opinion for what it's worth.....  And TOTALLY OFF TOPIC!!!  Sorry
