^ this might help - Jimmy Savile had a show called Jim'll Fix It where he "fixed" things for people (not sure if that term used in American English - so translation from the wiki page: "Sir James will bring his influence to bear in arranging matters to your satisfaction.")
Aww, you've just deprived people of the fun of doing a bit of independent research!

The iPhone: the smartphone for dumb people. Hahaha~! I wish that phones came as bare metal and you could just put an OS on them. At the moment, I'm thinking it's kind of sucky that we have a choice between 2 (or 3) walled gardens/prisons. I also wish that we could buy phone numbers anonymously. It's a flat out privacy invasion to force... oops... this is a joke thread. Yeah -- the comic was entertaining.

An Indian sort of "Aesop's fable: One day, a disciple went to his guru and told him that he wanted to have a cat as a pet. He requested the guru to give a name to it, and the latter suggested that it be called ‘Ego.' Accordingly, the man named the cat as ‘Ego.' As a kitten, ‘Ego' was cute and not very troublesome. But when it grew up, it began giving the man a lot of trouble. It drank all the milk in the house and cried throughout the night. So the man went to the guru and asked him what he should do with it. The guru told him to get rid of it by taking it to the forest and leaving it there. The man did so as per the guru's advice. But the cat reached the disciple's house before the disciple himself! The guru then told him that he should put the cat in a sack and take it deeper into the forest and leave the sack there. The man did so, but was unable to find his way back. So he was forced to let the cat out and follow it home. The moral of the story is that if we do not curb our ego, we are enslaved by it. From: Enslaved by ego

Duct tape. Never leave home without it...
During a private fly-in fishing excursion into the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler with bait in the plane. And a bear smelled it. This is what it did to the plane... Read on

I was about to post a bunch of my favorite puns; I had ten of them... real zingers, too. Reading through them, I tried to keep only the best, and ones nobody had heard before. In the end, I had weeded out pretty much all of them. So, did any make the cut?
No pun in ten did.

One of the poker players on those poker shows says he keeps llamas. (No joke, I just forget who.) He says of course the first is named Dalai.
The second was named Barack O'llama.

Another joke about the EU financial collapse - except it seems to be true: Found at: Samizdata Quote of the Day"They said it would never be agreed. Then they said it would never be launched. Then they said it would fail. When it was a success, the euro-haters still insisted that the single currency was a recipe for economic chaos and political instability. The phobes are proving to be wrong again. At a time when so much of Europe's political leadership is in flux, the single currency is the steadying point in an uncertain and worrying world.
Imagine that the recent turbulence on the continent had occurred when Europe still traded in pre-euro currencies. What would have happened to the French franc when neo-fascist Jean-Marie Le Pen forced the Prime Minister to quit? The franc would have plunged. What would have happened to the Dutch guilder when an anti-immigration party with a dead leader impelled itself into government? The guilder would have plunged too. Before a German election too close to call, even the stolid old mark would be gyrating. And instability in currency markets would be fuelling even more political chaos: a vicious, downward cycle.
That this has not happened is thanks to the euro. The single currency has taken all this political upheaval in its calm stride."- From an anonymous editorial in the Observer headed "A tolerant euro". From 2002, in case you were wondering.

EDIT: I'm not sure why the thumbnail/preview image thingy shows a picture of a woman. . . That image never appears within the video as far as I can tell. It's about cats and dogs.

I'm not sure why the thumbnail/preview image thingy shows a picture of a woman It's a common embed trick; youtube pulls certain frames for the preview, and if you know which one it's going to be, replace that frame with something more interesting or risqué. Works real well on adolescent boys.

What's interesting about it is that the preview image that got me interested in the video in the first place was another one that doesn't actually appear in the video. But it was just of a funny looking dog.

I'm talking about videos where the preview looks like some girl about to take her top off or something, but it's actually a blurry skateboard video shot on iPhone. Since it's only one frame, you'll never see it, but it's at the right spot for the thumbnail.

Yeah. I understood what you were talking about. I just meant that the preview image that I saw for that "Cat Fight Dog Win" video before watching it the first time was an image of a funny looking dog. The funny looking dog did not appear in the video, which I thought was strange. But it was even more strange when I posted the video here and now the preview image is (I think) of Casey Anthony on trial. Not only is the preview image not visible while watching the video, but it's different from the one I saw only moments earlier when I watched the video for the first time.

I realized I could publish my whole selection to this place, one graphic each time (that's a lot of pics!) or I could publish them all in one taken with a hyperlink, and let you folks choose out and reveal the ones you like best.
