I have never been able to see whatever it is that I am supposed to be able to see in that type of image. And that has always frustrated me.

I have never been able to see whatever it is that I am supposed to be able to see in that type of image. And that has always frustrated me.

I find it's just a matter of being able to de-focus your eyes, (which, I have to admit, gets easier the older I get  :-\ ), and then look beyond the flat surface.

Or sometimes going slowly cross-eyed, (bring your focal point closer), works well.

The message

My positioning is slightly inaccurate.

I do find the Random Dot versions a lot easier to view though.

So with this text based one you can point out what I am supposed to be seeing and then I can see it.

But for the normal ones, I have tried all the suggestions over the years that involved defocusing, looking at it cross-eyed, looking at it from certain angles, or from a certain distance, with my glasses off, etc. And even when you tell me what it is that I am supposed to be seeing, even when you take your finger and point it out to me, all I see is the noise.

Maybe a variant of the same kind of diagramming could work. Those things "work" (when they do!) because the un-focussing involves Dot A and Dot B (and lots of other dots - but I'm not yet sure if more than two "merge as a unit" at the same time) have to "merge together". So for example take a sharpie pen (or do it digitally etc) to one of those, and make a big black dot in two places and then say "fiddle with your eye focus until both of these dots are together".

Kate Upton - This 360 Degree Body Paint GIF May Shut Down the Internet

I believe this is some of the adult content mentioned in the thread description(and it's an animated gif also for you animated gif lovers). But, do you really think it will shut down the internet considering that it is supposed to run on pr0n? The screenshot above is not animated and my copy is 3.36 MB in size(a bit too big, I think, for me to want to upload here). If you want the animated version, you gif lovers know how to get your own.

From National Post:
Internet censors up in arms as bloggers note uncanny resemblance between Winnie the Pooh and China’s president
Quote
Following the recent California summit between Presidents Barack Obama and Xi Jinping, Chinese micro-bloggers picked up on an uncanny resemblance between a photograph of the two strolling through the Sunnylands estate and a cartoon image of AA Milne’s cartoon creations. The two images were published side by side this week on the Chinese social media site Weibo.

Xi Jinping + Barack Obama - Pooh + Tigger.jpgsilly humor - post 'em here! [warning some NSFW and adult content]

I think it's cute. How the heck do people find such parallels? (Or is it photoshopped?)
Amusingly, the post goes on to say:
Quote
China’s army of Internet censors has picked an unusual target in its battle to wipe dissent from the country’s computer screens: Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.
But the posts were almost immediately “harmonized”, as censors appeared to take exception to the comparison between their president and a podgy bear with a penchant for honey. Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post said overzealous censors had “nipped in the bud what could have been a positive PR campaign, tailor-made for President Xi Jinping”.

Remember, one of the fun things about Da InterWebz is that you get to tap a world's worth of rare talents. So some people have a talent for pattern recognition. So I certainly imagine someone saw that news photo and their brain peeled off the matching cartoon graphic.

It's related to the concept and talent for puns. I have a modest talent for those on "fast" days.

Try these:

A. This food dish:

Makes me think of:
A1: This person:

A2: And this song:

"It means no curries, for the rest of your days!"

B. This Collectible Gaming Card:

And this politician:

Hairy stockings image has gone viral on Sina Weibo

A wimp could wear these with a hairy t-shirt to look macho.

Or some time back when Louis Gray posted a photo of himself with his son, on Friendfeed, and his facial expression reminded me of Pee Wee Herman...so I posted it side by side.

When Micah stated that he wanted to see Louis with a wide-handlebar bike...enter the photochop:

Jesus has been known to appear in some pretty unorthodox (religion joke!) places, like in the bark of a tree, a frying pan or delicious Cheeto, and even in a damn blessed grilled cheese sandwich. J-C has been spotted once again… in this dog’s B-U-T-T. Homeboy is wearing his signature robe and everything!

This was a surprise. Since it's kinda PC-techo, I wasn't sure whether this should be posted here or in the general software part of the forum, but I found it amusing and so I settled for here. Probably the same method could be used to uninstall Norton Antivirus too.
It's by John McAfee himself: How To Uninstall McAfee Antivirus
