Yes, ÆD is a cruel, vile, nasty and evil place, definitely not for the faint of heart. I find it amusing from time to time, though, probably because in a world this grotesque, the best defense is being even more far out? I don't know.

I must be getting old. I found the E.D. to be more 'trite' than shocking or offensive. Once you figure out the 'formula' (which takes about 10 seconds) it becomes painfully predictable. Quite sad really. Still, little boys must have their little toys I suppose,

Oh, I'm not offended by ÆD (but it is an evil place), and a lot of the stuff might be predictable. But there's a lot of funny-pictures there, and some of the entries (like the one on Denmark) has a bunch of funny stuff

Sheep as pixels? Extreme shepherding? (Looks like the boys were hitting the Stout pretty hard again... )Found this video over at Daily Cup of Tech. Link: http://www.dailycupoftech...-as-pixels/#comment-47479Some of it is obviously photo manipulated, but it doesn't detract from the cleverness of the idea. (Even if it does nothing more than prove that being out all alone with a flock of sheep for too long does something to a guy. )

When autoresponders strike back! Link: http://revealingerrors.co...oresponder_road_sign.html Text for a street sign in Swansea (Wales) was sent out for translation to comply with bi-lingual sign regulations. Unfortunately, what came back says: "I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated."Apparently the translation request hit somebody's autoresponder and was mistaken for a human reply.

I heard about that one a couple of weeks ago, but haven't seen the sign until now. Pretty hilarious Seems a bit silly though, wouldn't one have written the autoreply in both English and Welsh? And since there's bi-lingual regulations, don't you suppose that somebody, somewhere would be able to read Welsh before the sign was printed?

Yeah, you would think they'd do that wouldn't you? But if your government agencies are anything like they are in my town... Hope it wasn't meant to say: Fire. Evacuate building immediately!

Rofl @ Control+V
<offtopic> This could be good or bad, depending on your view of it:
I was playing a game similar to Charades at OMGPOP.com (previously iminlikewithyou.com) and one of the words that my friend got was "Paste." He drew "Control + V".
I got it within 5 seconds.
(This also happened to me, with Copy. I did the same thing back to him.)

This gem has been making the rounds in the Unix/Linux blogosphere. What would happen if Microsoft were to invade Linux? More to the point, what would happen if Paper Clip Man invaded the vi editor? ---- BTW: You can easily start a flame war out there by saying: "That's a very funny animation based on vi. But if you knew GNU EMACS, for the same amount of effort, you could have coded an actual working version of it." Just kidding...just kidding...
