What are you getting for your Special Other for Valentines Day?

thank goodness, it's on a Saturday this year. there's no need for a pretentious display of attention in front of fellow workers. ;D

I gave my wife an artfully arranged scented-candle/flower basket. She loves scented candles. And I'm taking her to Gatlinburg for a weekend getaway to eat out at some nice restaurants, do some shopping, etc.

I am certain Valentine's Day was invented by a designer of greetings card, or something. I would like to become dictator and forbid such a silly event!

For my wife, I had roses delivered to the house on Thursday, then chocolate covered strawberries followed on Friday- pretty reasonable other than they make you pay for shipping...
I also gave her an outfit and a gift card to the store where the outfit came from on Valentine's.
