On my FF Ctrl+Click gives new foreground tab. I found TmixP to be too crowded with options.
Anyway, due to my translation programs many Ctrl+something is reserved.

Or at least behavior that can be set with standard settings? At least middle-click opens new tab in background here, and I don't have any tab-related addons afaik  |

Just installed the Bookmarks Up Top plugin, adding a bookmark button next to the Firefox button on Firefox 4. I wish I could configure it to only show bookmarks of one specific bookmark folder. |

Are you sure that isn't an option in Firefox? I believe I've changed that in Opera, I suppose Firefox should have a similar config |

I have been struggling with RESTARTers... because I wanted a Restart button both above and below the browser window, and it wasn't possible. No matter what combinations I tried, the second button would always overwrite the first one, so I only had a single button. Finally I've manage to have them both at the same time: Some normal English button, like https://addons.mozilla.or...on/restart-firefox-10749/ , together with the (nice) Chinese button å†èµ·å‹•ãƒœã‚¿ãƒ³ 0.1.5 will give you two Restart buttons. Hotkey fans may want to use Alt+F + R |

Has anyone tried Tab Utilities? Been using it since 3.6 and still flawless on 4.1. It's helped me with tabs a lot. Very configurable. Basically any R/L/M click can be told to do most anything. With tabs and links. https://addons.mozilla.or...efox/addon/tab-utilities/ |

Not a FF AddOn per se, but I've added support for Firefox in Transpose hotkey utility. It allows me to uninstall AutoCopy AddOn. One thing annoying about auto copy extensions is when you want to select text then use a button like insert link the auto copy messes you up by copying the selected text to the clipboard, making it just about impossible to paste a link after pressing the Insert Link button on a forum. The copy text to clipboard in Transpose only copies to clipboard if you select text with the mouse, then press the Alt key and release the key and the mouse button. The text will deselect and you'll know it's in the clipboard. It also works in Chromium and Opera browsers. IE doesn't like it, probably due to the mouse button action. But you could probably get it to work with a different hotkey. I did the Alt-LeftMouseButtonUP combination because it doesn't interfere with standard right mouse click context menu then press Copy action. Also if you select text with the keyboard it doesn't come into play at all, making it easy to use Insert Link buttons etc.. Far and away my favorite Firefox extension is Lazarus.  I can't tell you how often I've been typing something (a blog, a request for tech support, a forum message, email, etc.) when suddenly I lose my connection, or I submit the message and it disappears into thin air. Thanks to Lazarus, I no longer worry, at least not if I'm in Firefox: I simply click on the tiny Lazarus icon at the bottom of my Firefox screen, find whatever I was writing safely stored in its entirety, and retrieve it. Lazarus stores all entries for an adjustable amount of time, so I can go back and find something I typed a couple of days ago or even last week. Lazarus has saved my bacon many times; I've been so grateful that I've donated money to the developer as a way to thank him for this terrific free add-on. I should note that Lazarus is now also available in a beta version for the Chrome browser. |

Nosh, in the options, there's a place where you can tell Lazarus to save stuff for a given number (that you choose) of seconds/minutes/days/weeks. Again, you choose. I've currently got mine set for four days, though at times in the past I've set it for as long as a week and as short as two days.

Hi, Curt. Yes, it sounds as if you have good reason to brag. However, I should point out that I also find Lazarus invaluable when I try to post comments on a couple of blogs I like. Sometimes the comment goes through just fine, but at other times I get some kind of service error message, and everything I wrote is gone. Going back to where I was simply brings me back to a blank entry form. And then there are the times Lazarus saves me from myself, such as when I unintentionally hit the wrong button and move off the page on which I was writing. I find I have an embarrassing number of uses for Lazarus. |

Just to bring to your notice a rather nifty FF extension that I just came across: Bookmark Highlighter 1.5About this Add-on
Bookmark Highlighter does what it says on the tin. Text links are highlighted with a blue background, and image links are highlighted with a dotted blue outline. This is a simple and effective way to see what's bookmarked among a sea of links.
Pretty simple really - and handy too. Just installed it today. Seems to work very nicely. Nice install - requires no restart. I shall update this thread with any further comments/feedback if I have any that might be of use. |
