MS takes evil to new level; ruins birthday cake

It turned out that she used Microsoft Outlook to send her email but Wegman’s email system failed to recognize the proprietary HTML tags of Outlook and hence this goof-up.

Indeed. I'm the first to bash Microsoft when they put proprietary shit in the wrong place, but I can't see a problem here...except with the recipient's email client (please don't be using Thunderbird <repeat>).
