.res filename extension, header starts with EMR1, any idea?
(1/1)
electronixtar:
I am trying to dumpping an old CD-ROM, found a file named MAP.RES, 500MB, header start with EMR1, the program for map/picture navigation & possibly coded with VC++ & Access during 1998. The Window class used for display the pic/map is
--- ---AfxFrameOrView42s.
Does anyone have an idea what format of MAP.RES might be? How to dump/export pictures out of it? TIA

@electro
Does anything on this list ring a bell? Otherwise, go to http://file-extension.net/ to research.
f0dder:
http://www.wotsit.org is also a decent site for file types and such.
You're probably better off mentioning the application name anyway - something like ".res" is a pretty standard extension, and could be a zillion nonstandard contents.

Thank you f0dder & PhilB66
It's Digital Map of Ancient China software which could be downloaded from

It seems that software is written in VC & Access.
