Maintaining Windows explorer Detail view
« on: January 17, 2009, 03:22:34 AM »
Windows explorer in Windows XP has no "reliable" way of remembering to always show directory in detail mode. Even if the "Reset all folders" and "Apply to all folders" in Tools / Folder Options / Views is clicked after setting to detail view, it does not work reliably. Any application to ensure that Windows Explorer uses Detail view by default at all times is welcome.

It has worked reliably for me when I've also turned off "Remember each folder's view setting" - but with that setting on, it definitely hasn't :)

many of us use a 3rd party explorer replacement that solves this issue.
