A currently running scam on eBay involves the modification of USB thumb drives to report a higher-than-actual capacity to the operating system. A friend of mine recently purchased a 16 GB drive for $6, only to find that when attempting to copy more than 4gb of data onto the key, he would corrupt the drive. Be wary people. Read More

My rule of thumb on any site is this: unless I know enough about the seller to be sure of their honesty, or unless I know of a reason why the price ought to be low, any price that looks too low to pass up is exactly the offer I want to pass up. ;D
