Has anyone read "Code Reading" by Diomidis Spinellis ?

If there are any other relevant resources concerning the improvement of one's ability to go from "no understanding" to "good understanding" of a piece of software that has at least source code available , I would be happy to hear about these too.
Any feedback and comments welcome
