Anyone know of a "freebie" that will identify your USB ports as USB 1.0 or 2.0?  I've seen several that show you what's hooked up to the port, but not the actual port speed.....

USBDeview maybe? Otherwise, have a look at Unknown Device Identifier.

  Thanks PhilB, I downloaded USBDeview right after I posted this thread but haven't had a chance to install it yet.  I'm going to check out the other one you suggested if it don't work.....

- USBDeview is a portable app, just unzip and run USBDeview.exe.

- See this thread @ the Portable Freeware Collection about Unknown Device Identifier. There's a way to run it as a portable app and remove Internet shortcut it deposits on the desktop. To update the devices list go to http://members.datafast.net.au/dft0802/downloads/pcidevs.txt and the latest USB Device list is @ http://www.linux-usb.org/usb.ids
