Download at https://sourceforge.net/p...files.php?group_id=237160A minor release that includes an important bug fix, some new language files, and a set of new icons. (1) The bug of Circle Dock not taking focus sometimes when toggled by the mouse buttons is fixed with this release. Circle Dock is also now able to properly differentiate between X1 and X2 mouse buttons. This was fixed by rewriting a portion of the Orbit.Hook.dll file responsible for the mouse hooking. This new dll file is smaller (43kb) compared to the older Orbit.Hook.dll file (430 kb). I spoke too soon. This fix isn't working for some people. I thought it was working pretty well on my machine. (2) New language files are included (ie: Spanish, German). (3) A new set of "Planet" icons are included with the release, created by Nelson Muñoz. They look really good and are very realistic. Other features are the same. Still working on Alpha 9. I have been busy with other things and university. This release (Alpha 8.2) isn't posted on the Circle Dock website yet but I will do it soon. I just want to update the credits page on the website along with posting the link on it. The file size for the download is at about 12 megs so I have to use my SourceForge account instead of Wikidot to upload the file to. This also means that people in China can download it without being blocked by the government firewalls. I wanted to keep it under 10 megs for easy of download but the graphics are taking up most of the space and they don't compress. Any suggestions to get it under 10 megs for download?

I am having issues with the XButton 1/2 fix. While I did previously have the bug mentioned (lack of differentiation), I am now unable to use either button to call CD. Is anyone else having this issue?
And btw, those planet icons are awesome.

Maybe I spoke too soon. Sigh Guess, I should pull that message about the mouse buttons being fixed. You can copy the original Orbit.Hook.dll file from your previous Circle Dock installation into the new Circle Dock folder to reverse the mouse button upgrade.

Any suggestions to get it under 10 megs for download? Make two different packs for it: 1. CD with few icons and background only, 2. additional "fancy packs" for icons and/or backgrounds. EditedThis version freezes when I click on any Settings form's titlebar icon (close or minimize).

I've cross out the message about the mouse button problem being fixed on the Circle Dock download page and posted a message to use Alpha 8.1 if you have problems with the new version. This mouse button thing is really bugging me. I thought I had it fixed.

As a work around right now, I recommend you use http://www.highrez.co.uk/...s/XMouseButtonControl.htm to remap your mouse buttons to a hotkey to toggle Circle Dock. And I agree, those planet icons look really good! Nelson did a great job!

I haven't changed the code for the CircleDock.exe from the last version in this minor release so the behavior should be the same. The settings form may lag for a second or two when minimize or closing but it should unfreeze afterwards. I know this can be annoying and this will like be fixed once I have things multi-threaded so the GUI doesn't have to wait for calculations in the background.

2VideoInPicture I understand.
It might be better to use standard controls for settings imho. That way it can be easier to alphabetically sort options' groups or at least it can fix strange options' alignments.

I've made Polish translation. Few notes about it: - "lockDockAtCurrentPosition" should by available in RMB menu for center dock - instead of options only,
- "browse" (from File -> Icon Associations group) is not used anywhere - there are buttons with 5 dots instead,
- "ShowLabelsOnMouseoverOnly" (from Labels group) is not shown - "ShowLabels" duplicated instead,
- ""LocationWord" is used twice (General group and Location group).

How about this open source installer "NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) 2.40" you can try this thing. NSIS 2.40 Home pageOne of the features: Small overhead sizeNSIS is created to be small, fast and efficient. While other installers often add hundreds of kilobytes or several megabytes to your installer data, a full-featured NSIS installer has an overhead of only 34 KB.
Or you just separate two zip files, one is Circle Dock with several backgrounds and icons, one is the another new icons and backgrounds.

Thanks for the translation. Yes, there are a few translations not currently used but I intend to use them in the future. Also, there are some repeats because I'm moving more towards separating different sections of the language files for different parts of the program. ie: context menu language for the context menu, settings menu language for the settings menu, etc. This makes it easier if I need to take out a section or replace it. As the lock the dock option in the right-click menu of the centre orb, would it be more handy there? Is there actually a need to lock and unlock the position of the dock that often?

Yes this file is not totally fixed yet, not working on my PC and the "Orbit.Hook.dll" not have any version or information on there.

None of the mouse buttons work? I'm going to remove the new Orbit.Hook.dll file from the update.

The middle button works fine. It's just X1/X2 that don't.

I've noticed that with this release, it's not as snappy as before. There's a noticeable delay when opening folders (the icons take a good second or two to appear) I'm guessing your next release will address this kind of thing? I'm on a high-end Dell workstation...

Hmm, there shouldn't be any change in the performance of opening a program through Circle Dock since there wasn't that much code change. However, if you are having problems with Alpha 8.2, feel free to go back to Alpha 8.1 since there isn't much difference. You can copy your settings back and forth between the versions without problems.
