[Looking for] virtual directory with all files from a folders subdirectories

yep. rather. which is why i came here! the best place on the net for finding software that i dont already know about.

Darwin:
The only thing I can think of, and I've no idea if it would work, would be to use FreeCommander to create and populate a virtual folder THEN create a normal folder in which you create hard links to the files in the virtual folder. This *should*, then, be accessible with Windows Explorer and a open dialog (I think?!).

Just a thought.

hum, ok, interesting. how would i go about creating the hard links?
