If you think there is lots of zelda.. the editor wanted to make a clip of different zeldas.

Example super mario
Super mario bros.
Paper mario.
Mario vs. Luigi :)

No, that would have been better as long as the words "the best videogames ever" is not in it.

Dude, when a character's best games are the ones where he doesn't talk...that's when you know civilization is about to crumble.

bioshock, but no system shock 1/2?
that alone makes his list/video void.
There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who have friends.

I disagree. The Half-Life games are among the best the FPS genre has ever seen.

Oh, and I'm guessing your comment is in regard to the Zelda games. Naturally Link's best games are when he doesn't talk. Have you seen the ones where he does?

"I can't wait to bomb some dodongos!"

All of the dialog in the above video is from the Zelda CD-i games.

Let's agree to disagree then.  :P

I hated Half-Life like the pit of Hades but it could be because I never got past the reality that I could dominate the early opponents with a crowbar. I mean a crowbar?! A freaking crowbar against aliens!!!???

That or the FPS genre might just not be my cup of tea. Seriously, if I knew how to program and was asked to make a FPS, I'd end up making Daikatana 2: No More Super Flies

Oh and Link sounds decent enough in that Zelda cartoon.

... some stuff here ...

Deozaan,
I have no idea what this thread is about and I'm too darn lazy to figure it out. I wanted to write though to strongly support what you said about the Half-Life games. I think these games were spectacular. I could go on and on saying how and why, but I'll just say what I did and that I couldn't agree more with you regarding what you said.

A crowbar would be quite effective against humans, so why not aliens as well?

I loved half-life and half-life 2 + the extra episodes. Decent graphics (but not over-the-top, runs great even on older hardware), nice storyline, etc.

Clearly you're not a fan of Ridley Scott's Alien  :P Come on, a crowbar? Not even a fire breathing torch like the one in Alien 3?

It's just a different opinion though and hey, I haven't played Half-Life much after all.

Paul Keith: oh, I'm a fan of Alien & Aliens alright. Pretty impressive that the first was done two years before I was born, but still rocks so much today (sure, having very dark lighting helps with mood and making things not look sucky, and of course design by Gieger tends to always be a success).

But not every alien has to be like that one :)

Haha, yeah. I was just kidding around. Still wouldn't you have rather seen Gordon Freeman wielding the Painkiller rather than some cheap crowbar to kill the aliens?

Not really, no - one of the nice things about Half-Life is that you feel like a (mostly :P) ordinary Joe who's put In Medias Res. Worked really well for me :)

Haha, to each his own then. I could never ever feel like an ordinary Joe in HL even before I saw the Gordon Freeman artwork but that's my problem with most FPS. You make a guy so ordinary than it becomes unrealistic when he becomes a one man killing machine.
