I scored a 3! Not too bad.

As men age they lose the ability to discern the color yellow.

When I first heard this factoid, I doubted it. Then one day, a good friend told me about a family friend of his in his 70's who was helping my friend to paint his apartment. The old guy opened a can of light yellow paint and asked my friend "Is this gray?"

Men also lose their sense of humor as they age. So if you know any older men who can't see yellow, you probably don't want to needle them about it. They won't think it's so funny.

Women don't suffer these degradations. Just more evidence that they're generally put together better than men.

BTW - if the high score is 99, how did somebody score 1492?  :tellme: Did they arrange all the colors perfectly but put them in the wrong order?

Scored a 0 without gluing my eyes to the screen..

I wonder what the results would be if you were to compare people using LCD monitors versus people using CRT monitors.

I simply reorder colors that way:
05 16 27 38 49
Should be:
01234 56789

I've been in and out of board-level meetings all week, wearing this yellow flannel suit that my wife assured me was grey.
I fail to see the humour in that.
Nor do I find it funny to be greeted as Mr. Custard!
Other than that, my sense of humour is just fine.

(Does anyone here recall Richard Hearne)?

STOP!  HOLD EVERYTHING!

After lo, these many years, YOU have liberated me from the menial.
I cannot begin to tell you how profoundly grateful I am.

Let me practise for a moment...

Wife: Would you empty the garbage?
Self:  Sorry, I can't see!

Wife: Isn't it your turn to cook?
Self:  Sorry, I can't see!

Wife: Dishes?
Self:  Sorry, I can't see!

I sense the dawn of a new age  ;D

I'm quite surprised, that I also scored 0, with approx. -11dpt on both eyes and a little astigmatism (Ok, I wore my glasses while doing the test  8) )

Rats! You women are so fiendishly clever!

[My score for the test was 19; the walls still look white to me.]

Type of monitor might have some impact on a score.......I scored 0, using an LCD monitor.

I suppose 12 isn't too bad. I've got my crappy laptop on here... So I'll use that as an excuse! :D

Scored a 4.  All four errors were clustered right next to each other in the light blue-green spectrum.

Late entry - been without internet for almost three weeks (agh!  the withdrawal pains!) and am just now catching up with mail.  Spotted this one in the newsletter and couldn't wait to try out.  First time ever score - a perfect zero!  Woohoo!  :D

That's OK, you say, we expect that from great-lookin' spunky young chicks like you.  Sorry guys!  I'm 59 and a true-blue XY heterozygote, um , male.  For my sins, I also convene the Graphics SIG for the Melbourne PC User Group - just had our monthly meeting a few hours ago.  I guess it's just all the practice I get mixing colours - mostly in paint programs rather than real paint.  You can see some of my digital art on eSnips.

For the record, I did the test on this old Philips 107E 17" CRT; display settings are 1024x768 32-bit colour, under Windows XP, and no fancy colour management is going on - I'm not using any colour profile.
