Forum Guidelines - subjects to avoid?

(1/1)

tomos:
am I correct in thinking Religion as well as Politics is a subject to avoid in the forums here ? (says he raising both topics :o *)

If yes I would like to suggest that atheism be included as well as a subject to please avoid - there is a lot more tolerance of it which I can well understand (probable majority?). But I dont find it acceptable that atheism is sometimes flouted in a way that people here would pounce upon if it was some religous person knocking science for example (or atheism for that matter)

it's just about being fair as far as I can see.
I'm not suggesting any regulation or anything (naturally not :)) - just want to raise awareness of it & say what I think about it.

* so if the topics are taboo we cant discuss them here - only discuss whether we can discuss them :P

Suppose atheism is almost like religion to some... :eusa_naughty:

Paul Keith:
Don't forget those who believe spiritually but do not consider themselves bound to a religion although... I think we might have to break the rule for the GTD and Planner crowd or else I'll never get to make my topic asking what people see in their Moleskines... :tellme:

Discussion about religion and politics is very frowned upon here on this forum (that would include debates about atheism).

Don't get me wrong, I encourage everyone to engage in vigorous debate about these issues, but just not here on this forum since it tends to divide us and not bring us together, and is not at all related to the things we like to focus on here.
