srt files

I've heard of a program which auto matically puts the srt file into the movie file.
I don't know if this is the place,i'd be grateful for any assistance.

I think i'll try and do it manually,thanks anyway.

As it happens i've discovered a media player which detects them automatically,no matter what they're named,so long as it's srt.
   It's called the Core media player.

I usually just use the Combined Community Codec Pack, which includes codes and VobSub, which loads the srt files automatically.

The open source VLC also does that (and don't need any particular codec installed):

yea i've got that but for some reason it wasn't showing the subs.
