Google Maps: How to create custom maps with many pins?

(1/1)

akustik:
Hi @ll,

did you know the problem, you don't know where is what in the new city where you are now living.
So you search through the internet for do it yourself markets, addresses of all the apartments located which you are interested and where are all nursery.

The yellow pages only shows a few results in a mini-map.

So I'm searching for a tool to create new maps for google maps where i can easily add/remove pins with description.
The way google added this feature is to time-consuming to add all the information's for many addresses.

So I'm searching for some kind of Excel Sheet, where i can write the
street and number, city, pin color, description of a pin down and then upload it to my maps on google maps.
Then press on upload or show map and the google maps window opens with all my pins.

Do you know some kind of software that do that?

mouser:
i'd like to know how to do this too.

czb:
You can import KML files.
Try:
http://www.kamelwriter.com/
A major feature of KaMeLwriter is it’s ability to link data from Excel spreadsheets when editing KML files.

or
http://www.northgates.ca/KMLEditor/

I have not tested them.
If you know a little of XML you can use directly:
