nontroppo:
OperaTor is currently at V3.2 for those who may use it. Note it now uses Polipo instead of privoxy; polipo is much nicer and more flexible IMO.

Changes in the current release
*  Opera 9.52
*  Tor 0.2.0.30
*  the new Preferences tray menu includes all the available configuration options (editing the operator.ini file is no longer required)
*  several progress boxes and balloon messages added
*  updated Welcome page
*  updated skin

A few days back when I tried the latest version, it was painfully slow.

That's probably because TOR depends on spare bandwidth of the people participating in the network... so it's never going to be really fast. Heck, I'd probably be suspicious if I got more than 10-20kb/s using TOR.

Very slow - but it works if you need it.  I can go to any site on my schools heavily filtered network.  2.5kbs.
