Likin' Hakia!

I use Wikipedia a lot, but Yahoo is still my preferred search (I like how it 'Feels' - kinda comfortable).

Google with the FireFox 'CustomizeGoogle' add-on [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/743]doesn't suck as bad as the Generic Google! And, it can HELP with the privacy issues!

For electronic versions of books, especially technical books:

http://ebdb.ru

(The site is in Russian, but you shouldn't have too much trouble using it even if you don't speak Russian.)

Click on "ebdb in English" once you get there.

I like the idea of this one.  I will have to check it out.

Personally, I find one of the best sites for searching for specific books (and now music and other things as well, though I haven't used it for that) is AddAll.  I heard about it in college back in the late 90's and they probably saved me about half on my books.  They really haven't changed much in the way it works or the interface either - such a rare thing nowdays.  It just works!
