I have started a new thread named (ta-daa) "Arizona sunsets" to avoid them being everything in my posts here.

Actually, I suspect that you can't fail to take a nice shot.

Actually, I can. I just don't post them here. If the new thread is accepted generally, I will post some of them there so you can see some of my less stunning pictures.

Shadow mountains 10-21-16.jpgShow us the View Outside Your Window

I call this Shadow Mountains. My regular camera wouldn't focus on these mountains(too much sun glare probably), so I used my phone camera.

This is a Microsoft ICE panorama of those mountains(Post #350) using pictures taken with my new camera which CAN focus on them. I finally have a good panorama of this. Looks good?

Delightful!

But you really should stop trying to dig your way back home, or at least consolidate those holes....

From earlier this week:

Mama

and a not-as-good picture (both taken through glass with reflections) of her fawn who mostly just stood there while its mother rooted around (maybe it's still drinking milk)

Yum - Deer.
Where I used to live in the UK I would drive home along a gated road in countryside where there were few fences to the surrounding forest and fields. The roadkill would include Muntjac deer, pheasant and rabbit. I would always stop to clear up the still warm carcasses. Our larder was usually full...

it doesnt happen that often, but is magic:
having a better camera helps with the pics - but the mother was rooting around just a few yards from the window.

Yum - Deer.
lol,
I hadn't heard of Muntjac deer before - interesting, wikipedia says they've reached Ireland now as well.

This guy has been hanging around out the back a couple of times lately -- it's a south facing slope, so he's getting a bit of sun (and appears to be chewing the cud). He's been there a few hours now...

they're very well disguised at this time of year.

The Moon again...
I took this pic two nights ago:

Screenshot - 2019-07-18 , 11_17_50_ver001.jpg

It looked a bit odd but I didnt think any more about it till I saw this the following night:

Screenshot - 2019-07-18 , 11_17_22_ver001.jpg

turns out there was an eclipse on the night of the 16/17th (visible here but apparently not in the States)

I posted the gif above of turkeys walking in front of my game-camera. I get lots of shots like that, plus plenty of deer, squirrels, groundhogs, and the odd cat. But this one was new:
04240852.JPGShow us the View Outside Your Window
I am not aware of any neighbors with these animals; no idea where they came from or where they went. The picture was taken three months before I saw it. The camera did not capture any other frames that day.

In the woods this morning I drove by what looked like a small or a young goat. This was in the middle of nowhere, with no farms around. Completely black.

I know how you feel :-)
