Can't install Comodo... winzip error - need help
« on: June 27, 2008, 02:39 PM »
Hi.

I downloaded "Comodo Firewall Pro Installer 3.0.25.378" and Hit "Run", but When the "WinZip Self-Extractor" runs, I get an error message saying...

"Error 0 running command .\CFP_Setup_3.0.25.378_XP_Vista_x64.exe"

Then the whole thing stops...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

try redownloading, especially if you downloaded using internet explorer.
and also, it's clear that that file is made for Vista 64bit version -- which is unusual -- if you just have a normal version of vista installed, then you dont want the 64bit version.

Hmmm...

Very strange because I don't have Vista.  I have XP.

Mouser is right that you have the 64 bit version (which is for 64 bit XP or Vista).  In all likelihood you simply need to download the 32 bit version (which is for 32 bit XP or Vista).

On Comodo's download page they have a large button to download the 32 bit version and a simple link to download the 64-bit version - you want the big button.
