Should the new alpha versions be available from DcUpdater?

(1/1)

alexey_r:
They are not at the moment.

justice:
Well i'd like that too but there have been some problems so I guess it makes sense to not make very experimental versions available to everyone.

The thing is though that plugins that have updated for the alpha release (fcalc for example) come up on dcupdater but on my system with latest official release version fcalc does not work with it.

s.newave:
Maybe there should be an option in the dcupdater settings "Download development versions" or something to that effect. This way farr and all plugins could be up to date.

mouser:
i think having an option to show alpha/beta/experimental releases is a really good idea for dcupdater, and i plan on doing that.

i also plan to put the new FARR as an official release in the next couple of days as soon as it's clear the last remaining showstopper bugs are fixed.

lanux128:
i think it's a good idea to include alpha/beta/dev versions as long as they are clearly marked as such.
