LoudTalk - anyone tried this?
cmpm:
We just use Skype in our house to do an intercom type deal.
BigJim:
I haven't tried LoudTalks yet but it seems to me that one advantage (in a situation like your house) would be not having to wait for someone to answer - or bother them with having to.
Also, the "group" (broadcast?) feature seems useful ... IMHO.
mwang:
I don't feel like bothering other people's computers (as Skype does with its P2P infrastructure) with my LAN-based in-house talking. Same reason against Loudtalk. So I went with Teamspeak, which is open source, free, and works very well. Better yet, it has a Linux version, so it should work if I do make the move to a Linux desktop this coming summer.
