I collect DVD's (I own legit copies not netflixed copies). Currently at 737 movies altogether.
The wife and I just started collecting shot glasses with our recent trips to DC and the national aquarium in baltimore. I'd love to see a DONATIONCODER.COM SHOT GLASS featuring cody drinking a beer ;-)
Thats about it for now.

Precious stones.
Some are worth enough but it's mostly to show to youngsters.
A friend here has quite a few butterflies, i tend to show those off even if not familiar with much.

@Darwin, you should look up Youtube for Jonathan Winters.
He has a good skit with fountain pens.
Good humour the way it should be.

I used to collect playing cards, I have about 50 packs (only full regular packs, 52 cards + jokers). But later I stopped collecting them, now I just own them :)

Aargh! My weak spot... (and I thought I was immune to this thread...)
For some reason I just cannot resist when some rebel upstart offers an alternative to the MS experience, just for fun, or when I get a fancy to go back to the "good old days".
Some of the OS's sitting in my bin right now (not counting the Windows NT through XP cd's and the stack of Linux distros and live cd's I tried before finally settling on Xubuntu):

MS-DOS 6.22 (3 floppies)
Windows 3.11 (6 floppies)
OS/2 Warp 4 (3 floppies + 1 CD)
OS/2 Warp 4.52 (2 CD's)
FreeDOS 1.1 (the latest!)
BeOS 5 PE (1 CD)
Syllable OS (2 CD's:1 unmarked, 1 latest ver. 0.6.4)
NetBSD (2 CD's I downloaded in 2002, never got around to installing...)
QNX Demo Disk (Network and Modem versions, 1 floppy each)
MenuetOS (0.76, 0.83 and 0.85, 1 floppy each)
VisopSys 0.69 (1 floppy)
V2OS 0.64 (strangest of the bunch... 1 floppy)

And I fear it's not going to stop there... :o

Oh, I forgot about old programs :) I have the "latest" MS-DOS (6.22) installed on one of my drives, and a collection of old games. And I have also Windows 3.0 installed (7 or 8 floppies) and I wrote quite a few programs in Delphi 1 on it :)

I also used to have 5inch floppy drive installed in my computer and I used it from time to time, mostly for fun. But once we had to do some homework for school, and give it to the teacher on floppy drives. I didn't have time to do this homework, and I did it very poorly, so I recorded it on a 5inch floppy :) and said to the teacher that my 3inch is broken, but well, here's the floppy, what's the problem. He said to hand it in when I have my 3inch repaired :) so I had a few days extra to finish my work.

But my changed my computer to a laptop last year so now I can't use the drive anymore... And now I usually play my old DOS games on DOSBox and not on real DOS.

I have always loved books and have purchased hundreds upon hundreds of them.  It became time to simplify and I sold or gave away most of my collection.  I kept Tolkien, Patrick O'Brien and some SF stuff and have access to a library that can get me just about any book I wish.  I can order them online and they phone me when the book is in.
As I got older, I realized that I needed to collect something just to provide folks with something to get me for a gift so I started collecting Zippo lighters.  I've purchased a few but most came as gifts.

So you're in the 'so hard to buy for' category too  :)

The remark made me think about gifts and acquisitions so, if anyone else is interested, look here.

I have the world's largest seashell collection.

You've probably seen part of it. I keep it scattered on beaches all over the planet.

I collect dismal failures.

Oh, and mistakes.  I have quite a collection of those.

Nice collection.  I didn't see OS 9 (AT&T) or OS X (Mac) on your list?  Are you slipping?  :P

Do you mean Plan 9? That was the next one on my list  >:D

I never had any mac hardware so I never got to play with OS X or 9 or 7 or any of that. :(
If I did, you could probably add Darwin to that list...

Yes, Plan 9. I think I had OS X in my head when I wrote that.

Since Apple is running on Intel now, you can find some DVD ISO's of OS X (10.5 ) that'll run on some generic PC's.  I have an e-machines system that I was able to boot up.  Has a 945G Mobo and chip set.

I haven't looked for a few weeks, there were some folks working on making it go under VMware.

Problem is that those OS X ISOs are pirated, and there's no official non-cracked way to get OS X running on vanilla x86 hardware. And that kinda sucks, I wouldn't mind giving it a try, but I'm sure as hell not paying for a macbook just for the fun of it.

A Mac Mini is probably the cheapest way to get (legit) OS X, but that would cost me USD~900. And christ, $160 if I want a mouse+keyboard to go with that...

o_O, is that because of some special tax on Mac input devices? :D

I tend to accumulate more than collect- especially things I have a use for!  It's like I'm looking for the perfect solution...

-Computer Games
-Video Games
-DVDs
-Computer Bags
-Role-playing game books
-board games
-books of all sorts

... and computers.  Sad, I know.  I try to get rid of them, but really, how do you part with them?

I collect anatomy and art books

I hope you mean books on anatomy rather than bits of anatomy!

I collect: play scripts and debt!

I used to collect: toy soldiers, button hooks, shoe horns... what a sad childhood I had!

I collect samples of anything from companies.
I just call/email companies asking for a sample because I want to redistribute their products and they sent me a sample.

I mainly collect stamps (foreign and US) and currency.
