Disabling Acrobat 8 IE integration

<< < (2/3) > >>

imtrobin:
Thanks for the offered solutions but I think I didn't explain myself clearly. What I wanted was to be able to click the pdf, and it asks to save the pdf in a dialog, not open in acrobat. The solutions offered were to disable browser integration, and open in acrobat instead, which is done. Previously it was done by setting the pdf extension to "Confirm open after download" with the browser integration disabled, but that does not work anymore

See if these articles offer a fix:

PhilB66:
Also, did you check the Internet options configuration (Tools-Internet Options-Security Tab-Internet Icon-Custom Level-Downloads-Automatic Prompting for File Downloads)?

Carol Haynes:
Load up Acrobat/Acrobat Reader and go to Edit Preferences then uncheck the option under Internet.

surftwo:
Switch to Firefox.......
