Hey Sugar (oh, that sounded corny >_<),

nice to see you onboard!

I sometimes wonder what all the "quiet members" here do - we're obviously a bunch of regulars who make a lot of noise. That's pretty enjoyable and all, but I can't help thinking how many "sign up just for the benefits", and how many actually frequent the forums - lurking or active.

It's always nice seeing somebody post. Doesn't matter if a member has something to say about software or tech or something completely different, it could be a shot of your desktop, or perhaps the view outside your window, or even a single post in this thread.

The great thing about this site has always been the community thing - developers, users and people in general mixing up and having an easy time together. Oh, I might be going on a bit too much on a happy vibe, but it felt right - I hope you're doing OK :)

I love happy vibes.  They help you keep a sense of wellbeing which is the only way to be.   Keep on keeping on with 'em.

Hi all,

I'm not much for programming. I took a few courses in college as I dabbled, but very little has stuck with me since then (and programming windows applications has never been my strength). I'm mostly an App junkie always looking for inventive new toys to use. I found more than a few here so I figured I'd sign up and do my little part to support the art. In my daily life I work as a grant administrator. I create budgets, manage spending, and push government papers around my desk for research grant applications on the medical campus at a local college where I have been for just over a year now. I'm looking forward to seeing what this community has to offer for my ever-changing PC whims. So far so good!

Welcome Rowsdower.  Is that a mosquito??

I think most here recognize each other's rights to our choices and applaud them (well, in OS anyway) and DEFINITELY the programs written.

ps   I Saw FARR mentioned yesterday in PC Magazine (I believe that was the right one)

WELCOME To Rows and 3 Cheers for Mouser.

Hi everybody

Hi am Rui, and I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, 51 years ago.
jgpaiva was wondering if there was another DC member from his native country...
Well, there is, João, and its me!
Computers are my hobby, and I remember coming to DC through Wilders, of which I am also a member.
Greetings from Portugal! :)
Rui

P.S. This is my first post and the second is coming right away!....

I figured i might as well introduce myself, since i haven't done it earlier... (Was that even a good reason? :-\)
So, here we go...

Hey everone, I'm Shook. I was born in Denmark at June 14th, 1992. As you
can imagine, I am 16 years old as of now. I'm currently attending a technical
examination. I have a minuscule experience with coding in Python, but that was
years ago, and I probably can't remember any of it...
I like gaming, and I find school boring. (Shouldn't come as a surprise :P)
Here in DonationCoder, I'll be supplying you with mini-reviews of games every
now and then, mostly of indie games. I won't exclude other games for PC though!
I'm not a professional or experienced reviewer, so i can't guarantee the quality
of my mini-reviews, but I'll try my best.

My blog is mostly a hobbie. I mean things like studying and cleaning up my room, stuff like that.

Welcome Rowsdower.  Is that a mosquito??
...

Thanks, Sugar. It's actually a little industrial art. Apparently someone took a bunch of old scissors and welded them together to look like a spider:

Yeah, I like that a lot, too! Well spotted, Sugar. I didn't even notice it in the avatar. Thanks for posting a larger version, rowsdower
