- always a pleasure to read your posts, Sarah :-)

I can add that it annoys me to no end when a program offers to 'import' my audio files, but without any warning then starts re-writing the tags! (J. River Media Center 14).
Also, I was annoyed, (but hardly to no end), when I politely requested a feature for my R-Drive backup program and was told that I have had a trial period; end of story!

As long as it's not being pointed out to writers, it will just become more and more accepted. I think Carol has described this before as, 'entropy'. Personally I think atrophy might be closer than entropy Personally, grammar & punctuation errors only bother me if I sense that a post is inconsiderate to the reader, in general. Infrequent errors are inevitable, but lack of structure, rambling, etc., are signs of thoughtlessness IMO. It's the writer's job - not the reader's - to make a post or article understandable.
agreed, but lets put it in context - poor grammar and/or spelling may be inevitable and accepted in a personal blog or web page, but they are unforgivable in text produced by professional writers.

Baby Cody said one of the first things he learned as a tiny hatchling was that you are supposed to fly south for the winter, and if you don't and find yourself stuck in the north with all the snow and cold weather, seek shelter till March, which is when spring begins. Now that March is here, Baby Cody has continued his travels around the world, although he regrets not being able to stick around to see the cherry trees all in bloom here, next month. So, Josh, he's on his way and he has a big chunk of metal to smack you in the head with. (better hide your wallet before he gets there )

I must be much more effective at explaining it, since once I do, I don't get that type of forwards with a millon email addresses on it any more...and in some cases, they even stop forwarding me crap, out of fear I will mark their mail as spam, revoking their privilege to send me anything, even important stuff. I just can't stand having to send out that canned response + threat to people I know and generally like.
