Do You Purchase Software on Impulse?

(1/8) > >>

Renegade:
I just saw this SQL Server Comparison Tool when checking in at my .NET Preacher site, when I saw an ad there for it... 80% off! $20! WTF? Ok. I'm in. Bought sight unseen. (No time to test it as there are only a few hours left, and for $20?)

I suppose that I can't resist a really good deal. (If you work with MS SQL Server, you'd know that something like that is very useful to have in your toolbox when you need it.)

Anyways, anyone a sucker for a deal? :)

tomos:
I'm half cheap and only go for the discounted stuff...

Darwin:
Yes - My name is Mike and I am a software addict.

iphigenie:
If it is discounted enough I might kind of skip the 4 steps I normally do

* "do i need it?"
* "dont i already have something that does it?"
* "arent other tools that might do it better/cheaper?"
* "should I test it to make sure first?"

and just buy it. Then use it 3 times and park it, more often than not.
