another optimizer that i found: XP-Config. the website is in German but the author uses Google to auto-translate into english. haven't tried it, though but do check out the website, there's some good-looking tools.

Hrm, I'm not very fond of "black magic" apps that don't explain what they're doing. Of course you can always check with sysinternals' regmon, but still...
